Annual InspectionFebruary 2010

We have just had our annual inpsection from Visit Scotland are we are delighted to have retained our (Scottish Tourist Board) 4 Star rating. This is obviously good news but our toughest 'inspectors' are our visitors and see below for some genuine comments from them! >

Looking ahead to 2010?October 2009

With the summer, if thats what you can call it, now a distant memory, we are well into the Autumn. We dont have many weeks available during November but of course we are still open over the winter if you wanted a quiet 'away from it all' break. But this could be the time to think ahead to 2010. >

This would be an excellent time of year to visit Perthshire and Loch Tay. We have been working in the garden at Taronga and over the last few days have had snow, hail, wind and glorious sunshine -real variety! But at least inside we have a warm cosy base to admire the constantly changing views and weather. >

Computer downtimeFebruary 2009

On Friday 27th February my computer is going into the workshop for a small operation! It should fix a small problem, but it does mean that I shall only have sporadic email coverage until 10 March. During this period it may take me at least 24 hours to respond to any enquiry. >

Events this AutumnAugust 2008

Half way through August already and it will be Christmas before we know it. At the time of writing Christmas week is still available to rent. Our tenants last year had such a good time that they came back for Easter! How about Christmas in Higland Perthshire on the slopes of Loch Tay? >

We have had a good spring with a fine dry May, which came and went in a flash, seeing us into June. June has also started well enabling visitors to Taronga to enjoy the garden and of course the views over Loch Tay. >

Autumn approachesSeptember 2007

September and October can be a lovely time of year in Perthshire. The heather on the hillside is beginning to darken from the colourful purple that dominated for the last six weeks or so. The leaves on the trees are definitely beginning to turn with the onset of autumn. Taronga provides some great views of Loch Tay and mountains in the ever changing light. >

Our First GuestsAugust 2007

July was a milestone for Taronga as we welcomed our first visitors, the Heesch family from Germany, who by all accounts had a great time both in the local area and at Taronga. >
