Loch Tay self catering Taronga

News February 2012

February already?
January came and went very quickly! The weather hasnt been too bad, well certainly not as bad as the last couple of years. There are even spring like signs around as the evenings are lighter and snowdrops just coming out.

Loch Tay & Perthshire

Taronga is found on the very western edge of the hamlet of Fearnan, on the banks of Loch Tay. Fearnan is on the A827 between Aberfeldy and Killin and is only 30 minutes from the main A9 – it is also less than two hours from Edinburgh or Glasgow.

The local area has great charm and beauty and will appeal to a wide variety of interests. Walking, Water sports, Fishing, Golf, Tennis, Stalking, Paintball, Rafting, Canoeing and canyoning can all be found in the immediate vicinity. There are several hotels and other places to eat and drink nearby.

Taronga makes an ideal base for exploring Perthshire and wider afield as local visitor attractions within 10 miles include Castle Menzies, Dewars Distillery, the Crannog centre, Glen Lyon, the Falls of Dochart, Munros including Ben Lawers and many others.
